Farewell Karachi

I am leaving, Karachi, I am going; it is hard though. Empty streets, no cars, no people, no one. As if the city was sad for my leaving, as if it wasn't ready for my departure; it was bidding me farewell through its silence; suddenly, a crow seemed to be following us, following me. It was the only bird in the sky, and then a couple appeared. Then I saw a car, a single car, then a number of crows, another couple of cars. My heart told me that it was a message from Karachi . . . it wanted to say that I can depart with a smile . . . life resumed. The stillness and silence seemed that Karachi was sad; it seemed to me that my departure shouldn't be noticed, while the city slept, and then life will resume. It was a message that it is ok, don't be sad, be happy, life is going to resume. I passed by "Khayaben-e-tanzeem", the Saudi consulate, that intersection, I can recognize the streets, the shops; suddenly, it seemed to me that I have just arrived; the tape was rewound. A tape that recorded five years of life time, the airplane's windows are covered by humidity, but it seemed to me that Karachi didn't want me to suffer the last minute farewells, goodbyes. It wanted me to travel at once, in silence . . . with a smile on my face. Thank you Karachi; thank you. "Ağlama Yar" was buzzing in my ear, I sang it during the take-off; it was what came to me at that moment. I am thankful and grateful, yes, this is how I feel. I had the chance to visit Karachi; oh how happy I am!

3. . .

Her heart was broken, . . the glass that has sealed them was smashed, shattered into pieces. She saw it in her dream, couldn't believe it, she knew it wasn't him who has disappointed her. It was the glass that has been smashed. He was there, as always, waiting for her. Waiting to take his dosage of glancing and reviving. Everything was said when their eyes have met, all their feelings were exposed. . . all happened in a sudden. She went there, she waited. . their eyes have met, their souls have reunited within the seconds when there eyes have met. He gave her her pride, her femininity. . but the glass was smashed!! When it has reached to be filled up, it has suddenly been smashed, shattered into pieces that has pictured their moments and glances. . . Umkalthoom was buzzing in her ears when she was collecting what has remained from their glass, she knelt and collected them, piece by piece and moment by moment. She saw it reflected on the pieces, she felt the warmth of their moments as she collected them. Everything was in his eyes. When their eyes have met, she knew it was him, she knew he has been waiting for her. . . He asked her why, where, when, it all happened in a sudden.
على بلد المحبوب وديني . . زاد وجدي والبعد كاويني
Everything has started and ended in a sudden. . .

Her feelings, her emotions, they were about to drain when it happened again. When he nourished he femininity, it was once their eyes met when their souls embraced. A moment of warmth has bundled them together over all the partitions in between. . . She saw what she needed, what she has longed for over the isolating months. His gaze that moment was the overdose shot that has soared her soul to the serene sky of the lovers. He watered her femininity as he nourished his virility. . .

1. . .

It was once she stepped there, once she felt there was something, meant, expected to be something between them - once she felt his gaze. She went there once, twice, and kept seeking the chance to go there. Every time she was going there, she planned on examining his eyebrows, nose, moustache, chin. . She planned to examine his lip contour, but once she stepped there and got captured by his eyes, his gaze, she forgot everything, she even forgot herself. It was within his eyes, her femininity, her glory, her arrogance. . they were all within his eyes. Others were asking but he answered her, they were greeting but he greeted her, they were smiling but he smiled to her. It was all once she stepped there when he made her feel she was the one, when he caused her insomnia, yet a beautiful insomnia. He made her go to bed with a desirous smile. He made her see him in her dreams day by day, and night by night. It was once she stepped there when he charmed her by his gaze, surrounded by purity and love, announcing the white theme that has sealed them. When he infatuated her by his compliment. . When he caused her to seek a man to guard her, a man to love her, a man to satisfy her arrogant desires. A man who would gaze willingly, lovingly. A man who would be always there, who would hold her hands tenderly, who would listen to her fondly, who would wipe her tears softly. . She wanted him. It was once he gazed at her that she knew he was the one; it was through his eyes how she knew it was him. She was afraid of saying it, but she felt it. She couldn't say it, but it was just there shining. She couldn't announce it, she wanted it to be mutual. She wanted him to confess, to say he did. It was all once she stepped there. . .
